With just 1 hour from Barcelona and 1 hour 15 minutes by flight from Madrid, Ibiza is a must do Island to visit when in Spain. It has a reputation as one of the top places to party in the world with thumping 24-hour clubs, wild pool parties, and gorgeous beaches. While the 24-hour party culture is no doubt present in Ibiza but this is not just what the island has in store for tourists. There is a lot more in Ibiza that one can do.
Hippy Markets -If you are looking for authentic Iberian products, live music then you must visit the hippie market. The original Hippy market is Las Dalias, which also is considered best by many and has more than 200 stalls which are selling clothes, jewellery, artisan products etc. Another Hippie market is at Es Canar, which is also the biggest hippie market on the island with over 500 stalls.
Ibiza has beautiful beaches. If you like the party culture then you should go to the Las Salinas in Playa d'en Bossa, located on the south of the island. Backed by pine forests, it's filled with the sounds of DJ beats. For a more relaxed and family friendly environment, you should visit Cala Jondal in San Jose, a mix of sand and pebbles with beautifully clear waters. And if its views you're after, make your way to Cala d'Hort near Cala Vadella, offering spectacular views to Es Vedra Island. If you are looking for some nice natural beauties that island has to offer, then check out Sunset Strip, Benirras beach or San Antonio bay.
You can visit Formentera or Es Vedra by boat. Formentera is located just 9 kilometres away from Ibiza. Beaches with the whitest sand and waters the clearest and most crystalline you could ever hope for have marked out this island as one of the most idyllic destinations in the Balearics. Many believe that the beaches on Formentera are among the best in the world and when you get there, you will think so too. Es Vedra is located just off the coast of Cala d'Hort on the western coast. Es Vedra is completely uninhabited and protected as a natural park.
Ibiza Town is also a must visit. Visit Dalt Vila located in high grounds above the water which is filled with world-class restaurants, great selection of bars and amazing sights. Below Dalt Vila, you can visit Eixample, where most of the newer buildings can be found.
